Baby Ali is an alligator that you are sure to see grow in the coming times of Jolly Holly Folky Art where Neon Moss swamp creatures come to life. The painting is not quite finished though it is close and the frame is near to completion.

Baby Ali is an acrylic painting on birch cabinet grade plywood primed with seven layers of Golden gesso. The acrylics I used are the very top of the line. I also used ceramic stucco to texture the lily pads and cattails.

The multi-layered technique I used gives a perceived depth and a richness that is beautiful in appearance.

My goal for this painting is for it to be simply beautiful and fun! Have I been successful? I look forward to hearing your comments. Thank you so much for stoppin’ by to take a lookin’ at what is cookin’ at Jolly Holly Folky Art!
