During her elementary and middle school years, Holly enjoyed art. Growing up, Holly dreamed of becoming an author of children’s books and illustrating her own pictures. She seemed to win any coloring contest she entered.
Holly’s first year in high school was when she took her last art class. She started to think she didn’t have the art abilities everyone else did in her class, so Holly stopped enjoying art and would not draw or paint for several years.
Holly went to Berry College graduating in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree. She was a psychology major and business minor. She continued her education by earning her master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
While at UTC, she met Boyd Greene a wildlife and nature artist. Boyd got Holly into enjoying art again. She began to work on wood burning and started painting and drawing again.
Today, Holly works as a Human Resources Manager and paints in her spare time for fun and relaxation.
She plans to start using encaustics along with wood burning and acrylics in the future, as the medium really speaks to her and goes well with the simple and bold patterns she develops in her artworks.
Holly’s Art Statement

It is a way for me to forget my day at work and get lost in a make believe world I call Neon Moss with fun characters that make me smile. I hope that my folk art brings joy to everyone that views it.
